Circle the day in your cycle when you ovulated. It's also usually associated with a drop in temperature followed by a slight rise that lasts three days. It's usually the last day that your cervical mucus looks like egg white, or the day after. Towards the end of your cycle, go back and look for the day you ovulated.Mark the days you're on your period with a P. Record this using the key on the chart, for example E for egg whites. At the same time that you check your temperature, check the consistency of your cervical mucus.Connect the dots as you go to see how your basal temperature fluctuates from day to day. Starting with the day you get your period (day one of your cycle), take your temperature and mark this on the chart with a dot.Print out a copy (or five or six copies) of our blank chart, and buy a BBT or fertility thermometer (available at most pharmacies).Once you're ready to start charting your BBT and CM, here's what to do: Remember that every woman's cycle is different, and yours may not look like the sample or even be the same from month to month.
